The Ewers Family

Dwayne Jr. played his last game in Upward Soccer at Ninth and O today.  He did such a good job, scoring two goals.  He received the blue star for best offense.  He had a great time with all of his friends.  The awards banquet is Tuesday night, but he will not be there.  He is going on a trip with his Pop!  Not only does he get to spend the night with Pop, but he gets to ride in the "Chevy Truck" with Pop for "a whole long time!"  It is no telling the trouble that they will get into!

Dwayne Jr. had another wonderful day at soccer.  I did not get to be there, Drew and Julia were sick and needed to stay home.  Since Mimi and Papa were here to watch Dwayne Jr. play, I stayed home so Jennifer could go with her parents.  I heard he did a wonderful job.  He was very excited to see his Uncle Matt and Aunt Joni and his cousins Peyton and Judah there to watch him. 

I have it on good authority that he scored 6 goals and played excellent defense.  As a matter of fact, he received the red star, which is for best defense. 

Dwayne Jr. had an excellent game today.  It was his first game of the season and it was COLD.  As a matter of fact, when we were leaving the field it was spitting snow!  So much for spring!!  Next week it is suppossed to be 71 degrees - that is more like it. 

Dwayne scored three goals today.  The first two, then he had to play defense until the end of the game when he went back on offense and scored another goal.  He received the star for best offense this week and he said his Bible verse, Genesis 1:1.  He plays again next week and is looking forward to that.  See you on the field!
