The Ewers Family

Today, we pretty much stayed around the house. Dad had a meeting at church around lunch time so Mom took the kids to McD’s for lunch. Of course, they all received their “Happy Meal toys,” so joy filled the car ride home. Mom fired off a quick picture of them with their toys.

This evening, we all joined Uncle Matt, Aunt Joni, Nina and Pop for dinner at the playground and then some wonderful fun, sliding on the slides, swinging on the swings, and all other kids of general goodness in the spring time weather.

It was Drew’s 3rd birthday on Thursday. This was taken just when everyone woke up that morning before school. As you will see below, we all celebrated on Friday night at Chuck-e-Cheese (yeah)!!

On Friday, Dwayne Jr and his class took a field trip to a pottery place.

And then, of course, Friday field trip fun was followed up by a trip to Chuck-e-Cheese to celebrate Drew’s birthday. Here are the three kids before they “got down to bidness.”

I am sure some video might make it up a bit later!

Julia calls it “Chuch-e-Cheesits.” They decided to cut a rug for a bit after eating pizza.

After church services at Midlane Park this morning, and then a wonderful lunch with my parents, all five of us loaded up in the van and took off for South Carolina. We made it to Dandridge, TN, where we are spending the night and then heading on to S.C. tomorrow. We will be arriving just in time for lunch at Granny’s!!

My cousin, Blake Hunt, is the starting catcher at Ballard High School. Last night, in the semi-state four series at Male High School, Ballard lost 10-5, but it was an exciting game. Check out the story from last night’s game here and root the Bruins on tonight as they challenge PRP again.

Tonight, our little boy graduated from Kindergarten. It was such a wonderful program and Dwayne Jr did an EXCELLENT job with his lines. We are so proud of him. We have lots more pictures to share, but some of those are on Mimi’s camera and we will get those this weekend. For now, here is our graduate with his teacher. We are so thankful for her and her impact on Dwayne Jr.

Today is Julia’s 3rd Birthday!! She has been so excited. All we have heard since Drew’s birthday and through Dwayne Jr.’s birthday is, “mama, daddy, my birthday next?” Well today it is! My little girl has turned three years old.
