Jennifer’s Flowers

Jennifer’s mother purchased some Mother’s Day Azalea plants for Jennifer’s flower bed a while back.  She planted them for us where her Midnight Tulips where (most of them died away).  Last night and early this morning, it rained here in Lousiville and when I was going out this morning, there was still some mist on the flowers.  Thought I would provide you a picture to show you how beautiful the colors are.

The Birthday Boy!

Today is Dwayne Jr.’s birthday.  He is five today!  Jennifer and I cannot believe it.  It seems as if just yesterday we were moving to Louisville, KY without kids and one on the way (who we now know as the infamous Dwayne Jr.).  We are grateful to God for all of our children.  Today is a day in which we celebrate His gift of Dwayne Jr. to our lives.  Happy Birthday buddy!  We will formally celebrate at his party tomorrow at 12:30 in the backyard.  We are looking for a great time on what we are told should be a wonderful spring day.

Dwayne Jr.’s Third Soccer Game

Dwayne had a great game on Saturday.  It was VERY cold though.  So cold that after he scored two of his 4 (or 5, we are not absolutely sure) goals, he would run back to his position on the field in tears almost.  Thanks to all who came out a braved the weather!  Here is a picture of Dwayne.  You can see how overcast and cold the weather looks from the picture - it was 10 times worse!

DJ Strikes Again

Dwayne Jr. had another wonderful day at soccer.  I did not get to be there, Drew and Julia were sick and needed to stay home.  Since Mimi and Papa were here to watch Dwayne Jr. play, I stayed home so Jennifer could go with her parents.  I heard he did a wonderful job.  He was very excited to see his Uncle Matt and Aunt Joni and his cousins Peyton and Judah there to watch him.

DJ in Action

I have it on good authority that he scored 6 goals and played excellent defense.  As a matter of fact, he received the red star, which is for best defense.Â
