The Ewers Family

All of the kids have been sick on and off this past week.  Drew is the latest to acquire what the doctors are attributing to allergies.  This night, he is having a particularly hard time sleeping.  As a matter of fact, he is keeping the others up.  That fact, and that fact alone, won him a trip into Mama and Daddy’s bed!  He is trying real hard to sleep, mostly on Jennifer.  Below is a picture…

Hello!

Just wanted to let everyone know that event planning is in final stages for the birthday parties for Dwayne Jr. and Julia.  Dwayne Jr.’s party will be on Saturday Arpil 15.  Time is to be determined due to his soccer game that morning.  Probably mid to late afternoon, though.  Julia’s will be Saturday May 6.  Yes, this is Derby Day.  She will be having a Derby party so when post times are announced, we will have a better idea as to times for her party as well.

Dwayne Jr. had an excellent game today.  It was his first game of the season and it was COLD.  As a matter of fact, when we were leaving the field it was spitting snow!  So much for spring!!  Next week it is suppossed to be 71 degrees - that is more like it. 

Dwayne scored three goals today.  The first two, then he had to play defense until the end of the game when he went back on offense and scored another goal.  He received the star for best offense this week and he said his Bible verse, Genesis 1:1.  He plays again next week and is looking forward to that.  See you on the field!

I can’t believe that my little baby is 1!!  Time really does fly!  Drew has started to walk behind a push toy and he can stand on his own.  He is slowly transitioning to table food.  Of all 3 kids, he has been the most challenged by this.  But every day is better!!  In fact, at his party last night, he loved his cupcake!  He loved the chocolate icing!  Wonder where he gets that from….:)  Anyway, we all had a really good time.  I think that all of the kids enjoyed his presents.  I guess being the youngest, he learned to share at birth.  But, he really enjoys watching the other kids.  He is really fascinated by them.  Of course, they are very entertaining all of the time.  Never a dull moment around here!!!  Well, now we start preparing for the next birthday, Dwayne Jr.  I have heard that it may be a Clemson party.  Go figure!!!!! 

Yep!  That’s right!  We are getting ready to party - Ewers style.  Our youngest son, Drew, turned one this past week (March 13) and we are celebrating his birthday with family on Saturday.  Of course, it is Thursday night and we still do not have all the logistics down, but that should be remedied by tomorrow morning.  That is about all that is happening here in the Ewers house for now.  We’ll update more later….
